Sircam Worm
Released in 2001 and affecting machines running Windows 95, 98, and Me, the Sircom worm spread as an email attachment. The body of the message was in either Spanish or English, with typical greetings like "Hi! How are you?" and "Hola como estas?".
The Sircom worm, once installed on the infected computer, would grab random files and send them out to email addresses captured from the recipient's address book. It would also occasionally delete files and saturate the the infected computer's free space with nonesense data.
